What a spring we’re having.  With the virus and social distancing, its been very difficult, to say the least, to make plans for the lavender farm this summer.  Several of our shows have been cancelled this spring and summer.  We are moving ahead with planning for a Memorial Day weekend opening, but at this point we aren’t positive that we will be allowed to open.  We’re waiting to see what happens in the next few weeks as businesses start to open back up again.    I will post hours on Facebook when we are allowed to open for the season.

And then there’s the weather – as usual, the weather in Pennsylvania is completely unpredictable. We had several inches of snow twice last week, after many of us had already started mowing our lawns. One day we have 60 degrees and spring flowers, the next day we have to scrape windows and brush snow off our cars.

I’m hoping to be open at the farm on Sunday May 10 from 12-3, for Mother’s Day.  We have our shop full of lavender gifts and  vintage treasures. We have some special gift sets for Mother’s Day, beautiful lavender patterned tea towels combined with oven mitts and culinary lavender or honey.  The gift sets are also on our website at:  https://fairlamblavenderfarm.com/store. We ship across the country,  or if you would like to do curbside pickup, just let me know.

We also expect to have plants for sale on Mother’s Day if you are looking for lavender plants.  If I can’t open the shop on Mother’s Day, then I will take advance orders – for plants and anything else – and you can pick them up that weekend at your convenience.

Depending on the coronavirus timeline, we are hoping to open for the season Memorial Weekend.  Business hours will be 12-5 Saturday and Sunday – IF we are allowed to open.  Stay tuned for more information as we see what the next few weeks are like.  If we have to, we may do virtual lavender field tours this summer!
